John Leguizamo joined critics of Dean Cain on social media after the Superman actor sparked backlash for revealing he works for ICE.

Both Superman and Cain have reentered the public eye in recent months. In July, “Superman” (2025) director James Gunn spoke about the Man of Steel’s immigrant origins, calling the story of Superman “ the story of America ,” and one of “basic human kindness.” Cain took offense to this framing.

Former Superman actor Dean Cain is facing backlash after he announced that he has joined ICE, to help Trump’s administration deport illegal immigrants. “I’m actually … a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer,” he said during an interview on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime.
