A widespread outage linked to Google Cloud services caused major digital platforms, including Gmail, Spotify, Snapchat, and Discord, to go offline or suffer serious slowdowns on June 12. The disruption left thousands of users around the world without access to some of the most commonly used apps and tools.

Google ( GOOGL, Financials) said Thursday it resolved a brief but widespread outage that disrupted several of its services including Gmail, Google Drive, Meet, and Cloud and cascaded into apps like Spotify, Snapchat, and Discord that rely on its infrastructure.

According to Downdetector, over 11,00 users reported issues with Google Cloud in India and over 10000 in the US. Downdetector collects outage data by analyzing user-submitted reports from various sources. However, the actual number of affected users may be higher or lower than reported.
