Google reportedly sent an email to parents to let them know that the Gemini AI chatbot will soon be available for children under 13 years old. The New York Times cites an email that states the chatbot would be available starting next week for certain users.

Google told parents that the tool has guardrails in place to protect from unsafe content and can help children with homework and make up stories.

Google appears to be very close to striking a deal with Apple to integrate Gemini into the iPhone.  Earlier, Google CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed the company expects to strike a Gemini deal with Apple by the middle of this year and suggested it would roll out by the end of 2025 during the search monopoly
