Following five months after he took aim at Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige over Captain America: Brave New World ’s box office drop, Liefeld went on X to share a picture he took of an empty IMAX theater screening First Steps to accompany his negative reaction to the movie. Check it out:

It's worth noting that Liefeld has cut ties with Marvel over a perceived snub regarding a lack of invite to the afterparty for Deadpool and Wolverine's premiere, plus what he says was a lack of respect from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

First Steps is the fifth Fantastic Four movie, though it is only the fourth to come to theaters. Previous movies adapting the comics include an unreleased Roger Corman-produced feature from 1994, pirated copies of which have made it something of a cult classic.

Ioan Gruffudd starred as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in 2005's Fantastic Four and the 2007 sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and with the new Fantastic Four film recently hitting theaters, he's reflecting on how there was supposed to be a third film in the early '00s series and why it didn't happen.

"The mindset was that we were going to do three, and I think the second movie was equally successful as the first and equally enjoyable for the fans," Gruffud told Vulture

Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline, but its Earth-828 is still filled with famous Marvel characters. The original plan for the movie would have included some other very notable cameos — along with some interesting deleted scenes.
