A man died early Wednesday after his car became submerged in rapidly rising water during heavy rain, Dallas Fire-Rescue said.

A man died in a house fire Saturday morning in northwest Dallas, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:45 a.m. in response to a 911 call reporting a structure fire at a home, located at 3055 Sumter Drive, said Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman.
