The wins improved Auburn to 36-15 overall and 16-11 in Southeastern Conference play, sitting in fourth place tie in the SEC. Holding onto that fourth spot is important entering the final weekend of the regular season, as the top four teams in the conference get a double bye in the SEC tournament.

After being ranked as high as fifth and as low as 12th nationally the week prior, Auburn's sweep saw it rise in all five major national polls, coming in as high as No. 2 in multiple rankings.
