The Washington Commanders continue to celebrate their rich history. The team has announced that it will retire Hall of Fame receiver Art Monk's No. 81 during their "Sunday Night Football" matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 2.

Washington Commanders managing partner Josh Harris has done it again. On Tuesday, the Commanders announced they are retiring legendary wide receiver Art Monk's No. 81 jersey. Monk will be honored during the Week 9 Sunday night game against the Seattle Seahawks, which takes place on Nov. 2.

Monk is the sixth player in franchise history to get that honor, joining Darrell Green, Sammy Baugh, Bobby Mitchell, Sonny Jurgensen and Sean Taylor.
