The blame for a horrifying mid-flight blowout of a door plug on an Alaska Airlines flight last year is shared by plane manufacturer Boeing, its supplier Spirit Aerosystems and the Federal Aviation Administration,

The National Transportation Safety Board is set to hold a public meeting about the door plug panel that blew out during a terrifying Alaska Airlines flight in January of 2024.

The plane was at 16,000 feet when a door plug in the plane’s cabin flew off, creating a vacuum that pulled items from the plane.
