Around 2,000 protests and rallies were planned nationwide, with thousands of people also attending staged “No Kings” events in Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Green Bay. Rallies were canceled in Minnesota out of caution following shootings targeting local lawmakers.
People in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula plan to hold protests Saturday in coordination with those nationwide against Trump Administration policies.
Joining events scheduled nationwide, more than a dozen “No Kings” protests countering the actions of President Donald Trump were held Saturday around Montgomery County, including demonstrations in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Rockville and Silver Spring, according to organizers.
