Kilmar Abrego Garcia has pleaded not guilty to human smuggling charges, one week after he was brought back to the Unites States from detention in El Salvador.

The Maryland man, whose erroneous deportation to El Salvador became a protracted battle over due process and a test of wills, will face human smuggling charges in Tennessee.
