The runaway IndyCar Series points leader wins the Indianapolis 500 by overtaking Marcus Ericsson. Palou, seeking his third series championship in four years, has won five of this year's six races. Palou celebrates on the front straightaway.

That was the time distance between runner-up Ericsson and champion Alex Palou. The 34-year-old led with 14 laps remaining before Palou took advantage of an opening entering Turn 1 on Lap 186.
