Visit the O’Keeffe Welcome Center, gateway to the Georgia O’Keeffe Home and Studio Tour and the spectacular Rio Chama valley. Find us in Abiquiú, 45 miles northwest of Santa Fe. The Georgia O’Keeffe Home and Studio is accessible only by advance-reservation tours, which run Tuesday through Saturday from the first week of March until the third week of November.

Hi, My adult daughter and I will be visiting Santa Fe in October as part of a too short visit to the South West. We would like to have a tour of the Georgia O'Keeffe home and studio and to avail of the landscape tour of Ghost ranch to properly have an experience of the place that inspired so much of her work. We will not have access to our own rental car and would like to know what options we can avail of to bring us from Santa Fe to Abiquiu and Ghost ranch and then back to Santa Fe. Are there organised tours from Santa Fe?

I concur with NWRob. Need tickets. Get them early. Only 12 to a tour. You can't walk there in Abiquiu; you have to ride the tour bus in. You can go to Ghost Ranch and walk around but …

You can go to Ghost Ranch and walk around but you are not allowed near her house, which I think is a loss in income for somebody. I would love to see the Ghost Ranch house. But definitely take the tour of her house. It is amazing. We went in April and called about a month ahead for tour tickets. Be sure to get directions to the white places.

Tickets to the home and studio have to be booked well in advance, no chance if you just show up of getting a ticket.

Hi Kim, there are three levels of tours, descriptions for each are available on our website (website addressees cannot be posted here). The grounds may only be accessed during the tour and all tours include O'Keeffe's garden. O'Keeffe painted many depictions of the door on her patio, as well as the view of the road visible from her bedroom window, both visible on the tour. Should you wish to see more of the specific landscapes, I recommend you consider a tour with Ghost Ranch. They have a bus tour that goes to different sites.
